The meeting was opened at 7:05 PM by Chairman Andy Habe with all trustees in attendance.
Marianne Williams gave the status of the distribution of the revised documents and the missing page 7. A total of 23 sets of documents need to be distributed. One problem is that the residents may not be home necessitating an additional trip. It would be a great help to her if those residents would call and tell her when they are home. An unknown number of page 7's need to be distributed. She is still searching for the original copy. If any resident has it, please return it to Marianne. It is easily identified by the original signatures on the signature page.
Tom Fermi provided an overview of the various 3 person teams responsible for various areas within Olde Canal Village (sprinkler system, landscaping, repairs to buildings, etc.). The makeup of these teams and their areas of responsibility will be published in the OCV Newsletter. He also asked for a volunteer to learn how to set the sprinkler system clocks controlling the watering cycles. At this time, he is the only one who can do this job. Tom also brought up the garage lights and the problems being experienced with the sensors. Use of florescent bulbs causes a short life span of the sensors. All residents should be using 60W clear bulbs in the garage lights. Anybody needing assistance in changing bulbs should contact a trustee. Tom also advised that our current landscaping/snow plowing contractor (LEI) will be replaced on December 1 by Carlino Landscaping. Any snowfall requiring plowing/removal prior to that date will be accomplished by LEI.
Roger Lange advised the Board that the fire/smoke alarm testing is almost complete.
Merle Ray passed out the preliminary 2008 Budget and asked the members to review the requirements. The Budget will be discussed in detail at the November Trustee meeting and the final approved version will be presented to the residents at the December open meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 PM.
